Dear Alder Family:
I would like to begin by thanking everyone for their congratulatory words and support through the administration change here at Alder. Through this transition staff, students, and the Alder community never lost the focus and vision we have strived for since I have been here. As many of you know, Mrs. Kelley Willis was board approved as the Assistant Principal on November 2, 2011. Mrs. Willis and I have very similar philosophies about education, and our vision and goals for Alder Middle School are consistent with our staff, students, and parents.
As we continue through the 2011 – 2012 school year please continue to re-enforce the importance of your child’s education with him/her. We are here to support you as a school, but we need your continued support as well. We expect all students at Alder Middle School to be successful, and through communication and working together they will be.
Middle school is a very important time in your child’s school career. Our 6th graders, and some of our 7th graders, have transitioned from the elementary level, and our 8th graders are preparing themselves for the transition into high school. It is imperative that each student receives the support he/she needs to be successful in middle school and beyond, and as the Principal of Alder Middle School I ensure you that we will provide all the support necessary to assist in your child’s success.
