Rosario Gomez, Ed.D., Principal
Open Position, Assistant Principal

As I begin the second semester as Principal of Alder Middle School, I am eager and deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of all students at Alder. We will accomplish this goal by setting high academic expectations and providing supportive systems for all students. By addressing school culture, setting high standards for teacher performance, increased academic expectations for all students and engaging the community, it is our goal at Alder Middle School that all students will be college and career ready. Your involvement, partnership and support are greatly appreciated as we work to build and maintain our programs. I am confident we will have an outstanding school year and look forward to working with all our Alder families to continue the tradition of academic excellence!

To encourage kindness around campus, we are going to start a "CHAIN REACTION."

  • Each classroom will create their own chain
  • The links of the chain will each be 2 inches by 12 inches, varying in color.
  • A student will write on a link if they have seen kindness to others, have had a kind gesture done to them, or they have acted kindly to another person.
  • They will write the incident as well as their name on a link, then that link will be attached to the others.
  • Aida will be placing in your box, some start up construction paper with an example of the size attached to it by this Friday.
  • At the end of the year we will connect all of or our chains to see how long it will stretch!!!
