Kim Web.jpgDear Almeria Families,

Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year!  I am excited to continue my work at Almeria as I begin my tenure as principal.  I envision a successful year of partnering that ensures students receive an outstanding education.

Almeria strives to provide an educational experience  that not only supports our students academically, but socially and emotionally.  We encourage our students to get involved and stay involved.  We believe it is important to be connected to the school through positive relationships, a sense of community and participation in extracurricular activities.  In addition to our academic offerings, sports and club opportunities, this year we launched Almeria Behavior System (ABS), a program designed to establish a school climate in which appropriate behavior is the norm.  We encourage you to look at your child's student agenda for a list of our school-wide focus areas and expectations.

Our staff recognizes the role we play in helping your children reach their full potential, and we do not take the responsibility lightly.  We truly believe ALL students can be successful and this belief drives the work we do on a daily basis.  Your involvement as parents and guardians is vital to your child's success, and we ask that you continue to play an active role in their education.

I am honored to lead such an outstanding school community.  I welcome your questions, concerns or input that support the vision of Almeria Middle School.

Proud to be a Dolphin!

Kim Bente, Principal
