Dear Fohi Parents and Students:
We recently held our first “Coffee with the Principal” meeting in our new Parent Center. I was delighted to have the chance to talk with parents and guardians about the exciting things happening at Fontana High School, and what we can do to better serve our students and families. I am holding these meetings the first Monday of every month, at 7:30 a.m. in the Parent Center located in the Administration building with coffee and sweet treats for everyone who attends.
Our new Parent Center is designed to help you, if you have questions, need information, want to check on your student’s progress, or need help contacting a teacher. The Parent Center is open Monday - Friday, from 7:00 am to 4:00pm. We have lots of information about Fohi programs, ways that you can help your child succeed, information about tutoring, plus internet-linked computers for your use.
We are hosting the grand opening of the Parent Center on Saturday, October 22 from 8 a.m. until noon. Besides getting a tour of the Parent Center and learning more about what it has to offer, you can also come by for coffee and pancakes. It offers to be a fun day for everyone.
Fontana High School students can better succeed when we – Fontana teachers, administrators, students and parents – all work as a team, each helping to lift students to higher levels of success. I want our Parent Center to be an integral part of that effort.
Sincerely,
Dr. Lisa Romero
Principal, Fontana High School
