Greetings Rebels,
We had an excellent 2012-2013 school year that culminated with the graduation of over 600 students. The class of 2013 is truly an exceptional one and is on track to have the highest graduation rate in the history of A.B. Miller High School. I’m confident that the class of 2013 will have a positive impact in our community just as they did while students A.B. Miller High School.
The school will be closing out the School Improvement Grant and return to a six-period day for the 2013-2014 school year. The hard work and dedication put forth by our student body and staff transformed A.B. Miller into one of the highest performing high schools in the area. Our highly trained staff, committed students, and infrastructure to meet all of our students’ needs will ensure that A. B. Miller continues to grow academically. The administrative team will work through the summer to plan for next year and ensure our students continue to receive an excellent academic program, extracurricular activities, and support services.
A.B. Miller will be hosting a series of orientation days starting in late July. Parents of our Class of 2014 will receive information regarding graduation requirements, procedures, and merchandise orders. In addition, students will be able to pick up class schedules, textbooks, and take their yearbook/ID pictures on their assigned orientation date. Orientations will take place on the following dates:
- Senior Parent Night: July 29, 2013
- 12th graders: July 30, 2013
- 11th Graders: July 31, 2013
- 10th Graders: August 2, 2013
- 9th Graders: August 1, 2013
Lastly, I’d like to thank the entire REBEL NATION for their hard work and commitment to our school. Our students, staff, parents, community partners, and District personnel have worked tirelessly and tenaciously to make A.B. Miller a great school. Fight On! Rebels.
Sincerely,
