Greetings Rebels,

We have started another exceptional year at A.B. Miller High School!   I would like to welcome our new students, parents, and staff to the Rebel Nation family.  I am excited to have the opportunity to be part of the journey with you and your student towards their future success.

We begin this school year with a full staff who will focus on implementing the Common Core State Standards (CCSS).  The purpose of the CCSS is to promote critical thinking skills, develop problem solving skills, and prepare our students for our globalized economy by promoting 21st century skills.  In addition, our school is and will continue to be committed to providing our students an exceptional academic program, athletic opportunities, and abundant extra-curricular activities.  Our overarching goal is to ensure your child is college and career ready upon graduation.  Special emphasis will be placed on ensuring your student applies to at least one college and completes his/her financial aid application (FAFSA) during their senior year.

A.B. Miller High School will be using several social media sites to promote and inform all stake holders of important events and news.  Please feel free to connect with us through the following sites:

I am confident that we will continue to collaborate to improve student learning and provide our kids with a remarkable high school experience.  As always, I welcome feedback and suggestions for improvement from all stakeholders in an effort to better serve our students.  Please feel free to contact me or an assistant principal if you have any concerns or comments, always, FIGHT ON, Rebels!

Sincerely,

Dr. Moises M. Merlos

Principal, A.B. Miller High School
