Graduation Information

Fontana Unified School District and Kaiser High School will be hosting the commencement ceremony for the graduating class of 2010 at the brand new Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario.  From the website (www.cbbankarena.com):  "Built and owned by the City of Ontario, the Arena opened on October 18, 2008.  Citizens Business Bank Arena is a state-of-the-art facility that hosts Ontario Reign ECHL ice hockey and a variety of other sporting competitions, concerts, family shows, special events, and community activities as well as private events.  The venue is the biggest and most modern arena within the Inland Empire.  Citizens Business Bank Arena is the centerpiece of Piemonte at the Ontario Center, between Haven Avenue and Milliken Avenue and Fourth Street and the I-10 Freeway."

Graduation will take place on Thursday, May 27, 2010 and is currently scheduled to start at 3 p.m.  We are very excited to have this venue for our graduation.  Over the past few years, it has been increasingly difficult to accommodate the demands of the family and friends of our graduations. Put simply, we don't have the room for all the people our graduates want to invite.  Our stadium only holds 4,100.  That limits tickets to about 6 per student.  However, at the Arena, we will be able to seat almost 2000 more people!  In addition to this, the Arena is designed with parking that many people.

If you have ever come to Kaiser for graduation, you know that the parking situation is not very good.  Despite all of our best efforts, the campus is just not built to park thousands of cars.  The Arena is a full-service facility and includes the staging, sound, and video that will make the experience more enjoyable for our students, their family, and our faculty and staff.  Again, if you have attended a Kaiser graduation in June, you know it's HOT!  Sometimes it's so hot that we have been concerned, not just for comfort but for safety.  We all have relatives that are older and for whom the extremes of temperature are a safety hazard.  But, the Arena is covered and air-conditioned. In all, this is a HUGE UPGRADE for all of us.

More tickets, better sound, better video, air conditioning, parking.  Graduation at the Citizens Business Bank Arena is going to be spectacular.  We do not have information on the specific number of tickets for each graduate, nor do we have a specific date when we will have that information.  We are actively working with all parties to get plans together and get information to you as quickly as we can.

There will be no charge for parking or for tickets to attend graduation.
