Dear Primrose Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to Primrose! We are looking forward to a great 2018-2019 school year. Welcome to those who are new to our Primrose family and hope that you feel at home here. Our staff and administration are here to serve you and they are great resources for you. As we begin the implementation of the Common Core standards being used across the nation, we will strive to prepare our students to become critical thinkers, readers, and writers in their journey for future college and career readiness pathways. I want to highlight the following priorities as critical to our continued success:
The home is a child’s primary environment of learning. It’s very important for your child:
1) Be read to (K-1) and read independently (2-5) everyday
2) Have a quiet space to complete homework and read
3) Log into Lexia (10 minutes) and Moby Max (10 minutes)
4) To receive positive encouragement
Always contact your child’s teacher first with any concerns you may have. Please know that we are available to meet with you in person or talk to you over the telephone to discuss any concerns you may have. We are here to support our students, parents and staff and ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of our children. Together we can ensure Primrose is a highly effective school.
