Virginia Primrose Elementary School is an early-start, traditional school serving approximately 657 students in kindergarten through fifth grade including 18% in special education, 47.3% qualifying for English learner support, and 82.8% qualifying for the free or reduced-price meal program. A state preschool program is on campus and open to eligible 3-5 year olds; the preschool program offers a child-centered curriculum focusing on physical, cognitive and social-emotional growth. Virginia Primrose Elementary hosts an Early Childhood Education program on campus for 3-4 year olds who have an Individual Education Plan.
