South Tamarind Elementary School is one of twenty-nine elementary schools in the Fontana Unified School District.  It is a single-track, year-round school serving approximately 670 students in kindergarten through fifth grade, and supports a state preschool program on its campus.  South Tamarind enjoys a rich diverse population composed of 88.4% Hispanic, 6.5% White/Non-Hispanic, 2% African-American, and 3.1% other ethnic backgrounds.
