Redwood Elementary School is one of twenty-nine elementary schools in the Fontana Unified School District. It is an early-start, traditional school serving approximately 757 students in preschool through sixth grade. Our team includes 36 certificated classroom teachers and numerous certificated and classified support staff. Our school is approximately 87% Latino, 6.8% White/Non-Hispanic, and 3.4% African American. 57% of our students are English Learners, of which 38% has achieved English Proficiency according the 2006 CELDT test results. Our API score is 752 out of a possible 1000. According to the AYP progress report for 2006, 36.8% of our students were proficient or above in English Language Arts and 53.2% were proficient or above in Math. As a result, Redwood is not in Program Improvement!

La escuela Redwood es una de veinte y nueve escuelas primarias en el distrito de Fontana. Esta escuela de un carril sirve a aproximadamente 757 alumnos de los grados pre-kinder al sexto. Nuestro equipo incluye 36 maetros certificados y numerosos personal de apoyo tanto certificado comoclasificado. Nuestra escuela esta compuesta de aproximadamente 87% Latinos, 6.8% Blancos/No-Hispanos, y 3.4% Afro-Americanos. 57% de nuestros alumnos son Aprendices de Inglés del cual 38% han sido identificados proficientes en Inglés según los resultados del examén CELDT. Nuestro Indice Académico (API) es de 752 de un probable de 1000 puntos. Según el reporte del progreso anual (AYP), 36.8% de nuestros alumnos son proficientes en Lectura y 53.2% son proficientes en Matemáticas. Como resultado, le Escuela Redwood no esta en el programa federal de Program Improvement!
