Parents and community play a very important role in the school. Understanding the school’s educational program, student achievement, and curriculum development can assist both school and community in ongoing program improvement.
We have made a commitment to provide the best educational program possible for our students, including full implementation of the Open Court Reader 2002 language arts program and a school-wide leveled English Language Development (ELD) program. The excellent quality of our program is a reflection of our highly dedicated staff.
We want to ensure our school is a welcoming, stimulating environment where students are actively involved in learning academics as well as positive values. Through our hard work together, our students will be challenged to reach their maximum potential.
When asked why they are coming to school each day, students are expected to respond that they are coming to school to learn and to become better people. Likewise, the purpose for school staff members coming to work is to help students to learn and to become better people. This focus is reflected in our School Mission Statement which now simply states: The North Tamarind Community is Learning to Live and Living to Learn.
