Welcome to the 2018-19 School Year!
Welcome to Almond Elementary School, Home of the Pacers! Our mission is to provide every student at Almond Elementary the highest quality instruction and a positive school experience. We strive to maintain an atmosphere that fosters the academic growth and character development of our students. In order to achieve our mission, we recognize the importance of parents as our partners in education. We strongly encourage all parents to become active participants in the learning activities, School Site Council, Back to School Night, and many other school-wide events hosted on campus.
We are fortunate to have a dedicated group of teachers and support staff committed to accelerating student achievement. The teachers spend every Wednesday planning instruction with the Common Core State Standards, analyzing assessment results, discussing student progress, and sharing the best classroom practices. Wednesdays are early dismissal days, at 12:20 p.m. for grades 1-6. Kindergarten morning and afternoon dismissal times are listed in our handbook.
Please take a moment to review our Parent Handbook, which contains vital information about the school and campus procedures. We ask that all parents carefully review the sections on the behavior expectations with their children. Listed below are a few highlights from our handbook:
It will be a privilege to serve and support the students at Almond Elementary School. I am looking forward to a productive school year full of learning and fun!
Parents, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our office. We are happy to assist you!
